Back Mudra – for relieving back pain
Back Mudra works effectively for people with weak back. Back Mudra comes to rescue if you have strained your back after a prolonged activity like cleaning or sitting day long in a wrong posture.
Right hand: The thumb, middle finger, and little finger will be in contact, the other fingers will remain extended.
Left hand: Place your thumb joint on the nail of your index finger.
Do this mudra for 4 to 5 minutes thrice a day.
Backaches are caused by variety of reasons. It is necessary to take care and work on these causes to permanently get rid of back pain. Constipation and flatulence is one of the causes. Weak abdominal muscles aggravate back pain. Plank pose, leg lifts, cycle lifts and other yogic exercises strengthens the abdominal muscles. Poor posture and bad alignment causes pain and inflammation. So, take care of your posture. Also check your mattress. It should have good hardness. Stress, insomnia and fear should be managed and minimized.
Affirmation while doing the mudra: "My back is protected and strong. My muscles are strong. The soreness in my back is diminishing. It will vanish by doing Back Mudra."
