From Body Conscious to Soul Conscious
I am trying this exercise from last one week and want to share it with all of you. I was reading through Gurdjieff Literature and found this interesting and practical exercise. The exercise is called as Statue exercise. All you need to do is become statue for few minutes. This can be performed while doing any activity. For Example, if you are cleaning a window, then suddenly become a statue, whatever your pose may be. There should not be even 1 mm movement in your body. Just keep the breathing normal. The body will initially resist by creating an urge to make movement. It could be through itching on the skin or some other discomfort. But, here you need to remain still and aware. You will soon start realizing the working of your mind and body. Your consciousness will start shifting from the body. All you need to do is to remain still for few minutes. You can do this exercise several times during the day. Do share your experience with me. I am enjoying this activity a lot.
